Abstract
Legal Protection of Intellectual Property has become crucial in the context of national economic growth. This study explores the significance of legal protection of intellectual property for national economic growth, with a focus on the Indonesian context. The economic growth of a country is heavily influenced by innovation, creativity, and production in various fields. However, without adequate legal protection of intellectual property rights, the economic potential of such innovation and creativity may be eroded by unauthorized use or theft by others. Through the analysis of various regulations and international commitments, such as the TRIPs/WTO agreement, as well as legal principles based on Pancasila, this study highlights how legal protection of intellectual property can facilitate innovation, drive investment, and enhance a country's economic competitiveness. However, the implementation of legal protection of intellectual property still faces various challenges, including harmonization between national and international laws, as well as increasing awareness and law enforcement. Therefore, it is important for the government and other stakeholders to continuously strengthen the legal protection system of intellectual property to support sustainable national economic growth.
