DESIGN OF A WEB-BASED ACADEMIC INFORMATION SYSTEM AT SMP NEGERI 6 PANGKALPINANG

Abstract

In today's world of education, the use of websites in schools has developed. Website development is increasingly rapid in the world of education in Indonesia, one of which is used in the SMP Negeri 6 Pangkalpinang school. Academic Information Web-Based System at SMP Negeri 6 Pangkalpinang as a system that can support the process of delivering online information such as subject schedules, report cards and other requirements contained in SMP Negeri 6 Pangkalpinang, thus helping to speed up and quality in the delivery of information. In addition, this website based on existing information can be accessed anytime and anywhere without being limited by distance and time. The web-based academic information system was created using Adobe Dreamweaver Deramweaver because of the integrated browser feature to view web pages developed by the program itself in a preview window that allows content to open in a web browser that has been installed. As well as using the PHP programming language PHP has the advantage of being able to be used in various machines that will be used on a web-based academic information system for SMP Number 6 Pangkalpinang.
