Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to analyze efforts to protect e-commerce law in the economic globalization cycle. This research uses normative juridical research methods. Until now, e-commerce in Indonesia still faces many challenges, especially regarding legal protection. In the current era of economic globalization, it is extremely critical to have legal protection efforts for e-commerce to direct and develop activities in cyberspace, especially in encouraging the development of E-commerce in Indonesia, strict and specific regulations regarding the validity and legal force of electronic documents. as valid evidence becomes something that cannot be negotiated anymore. Regulation of E-commerce Transactions in Law No. 11 of 2008 (hereinafter referred to as the ITE Law) is an effort to harmonize conventional law and law in the digital era. In the ITE Law, e-documents are recognized as an extension of procedural law applicable in Indonesia (Article 5 of the ITE Law).
