PUBLIC POLICY LEGAL PROTECTION BY THE GOVERNMENT AGAINST RECESSION VOLTAGE IN 2023

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of the recession on Indonesia's economic growth throughout 2023 and how public policies related to legal protection are implemented during the recession. The method used in this research is a descriptive-analytic method that describes the empirical conditions that occurred in Indonesia during the recession. The results of this research found that the COVID-19 pandemic triggered inflation which was an early symptom of a global recession. The Indonesian government implements various policies related to legal protection, such as providing energy (BBM) sector subsidies and encouraging investment in MSMEs so that people remain productive and able to maintain purchasing power, which has implications for Indonesia's economic growth.
