Public Policy on the Implementation of People's Economy in Overcoming the Economic Impact After the Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate government policies in implementing a people’s economic system in response to the post Covid-19 Pandemic impact on the country’s economy. The method used is a qualitative approach that emphasizes the disclosure and manifestation of data. The results showed that the concept of people’s economy, which Soekarno-Hatta first initiated, focuses on community empowerment through UMKM and cooperatives to reduce economic inequality and improve social welfare. Government policy in overcoming the economic impact of Covid-19 primarily focuses on UMKM’s recovery by reducing financial inclusion programs and increasing digital literacy to support community adaptation to economic changes and remain productivity.
