Abstract

The fulfillment of health rights for juvenile inmates is an essential part of sustainable rehabilitation efforts to ensure their well-being during their time at the Juvenile Detention Center (LPKA). This study aims to analyze the implementation of health rights for juvenile inmates at LPKA Class II Bangka Belitung and identify challenges in its execution. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and document analysis of relevant regulations governing juvenile inmates’ health rights. The findings indicate that despite existing policies ensuring health rights for juvenile inmates, several challenges persist, including limited healthcare facilities, a shortage of medical personnel, and restricted access to mental health services. Therefore, improvements in facilities, adequate resource allocation, and collaboration with external parties such as hospitals and social institutions are necessary to ensure optimal health rights fulfillment. In conclusion, ensuring proper health rights for juvenile inmates not only supports sustainable rehabilitation but also contributes to a more effective social reintegration process.
