Abstract

Legal regulations, and implementation or implementation of laws related to the subject matter of this researchThe art of Modern Dance Choreography as a form of artistic expression is growing rapidly in the contemporary era, and attention to the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) for these works is becoming increasingly important. This abstract outline a juridical review of the IPR protection mechanism for Modern Dance Choreography artworks in Indonesia. First, the review of the legal aspects highlights Law No. 28 of 2014 on Intellectual Property Rights as the main legal framework governing copyright, industrial design, and trademarks related to dance artworks. This regulation covers the principles of exclusive rights, the time limit for protection, and the relevant registration procedures. Second, it discusses the role of the Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF) and the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) in providing protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights. These organizations play an important role in providing information, registration facilities, and supervision of the implementation of intellectual property rights in the arts sector, including the art of Modern Dance Choreography. Thus, the subject is analyzed using a qualitative approach. This research approach refers to the legal norms listed in the legislation. This research is conducted in order to obtain supporting materials or sources in the form of theories, concepts, legal principles.
