Abstract
Indonesia, as a unitary state, is committed to democratic principles, wherein elections serve as a mechanism empowering citizens to select their representatives and leaders for governing. This article aims to investigate the influence of elections on the Indonesian economy, employing a legislative approach, qualitative inquiry, and quantitative analysis. The research method used in this paper is by employing statutory approach with qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that during election years, such as the upcoming 2024 election, economic ramifications tend to mirror past patterns, characterized by a slowdown in economic growth until the second quarter preceding the election, followed by stabilization, and eventual resurgence thereafter.
