Abstract
The objective of this study is to examine the importance of safeguarding and upholding intellectual property rights in Indonesia for the betterment of the economy and society. The study employs normative legal research techniques to analyze the legal framework for protecting intellectual property. The legal system plays a vital role in promoting innovation, creativity, and investment, which in turn benefits society by enhancing their welfare. Consequently, safeguarding intellectual property also has a positive impact on economic development. By providing incentives to creators and innovators to invest their time, energy, and resources in developing new products and services, IPR protection fosters economic growth.
