Abstract
This research aims to analyze the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in poverty alleviation efforts in Indonesia from an economic perspective. The idea of CSR programs is related to stakeholder theory, which demands that companies fulfill their responsibility to stakeholders, including economic aspects. The CSR mission in sustainable development aligns with Indonesia's commitment to SDGs focus on poverty alleviation. While CSR is regulated, its implementation in Indonesia is not yet optimal and often misses the target due to incomplete adherence to its principles. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through a literature review. The results indicate that CSR plays a crucial role in poverty alleviation from an economic perspective, contributing to the economy by reducing the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) and providing social assistance. Consequently, the self-sufficiency and productivity of the community can improve.
